I drive the 1845 on and off for company jobs. First impression, everything inside the cab is decent quality. Controls are all right there, don’t have to do much reaching for things. Adaptive cruise is alright, helps on the highway but sometimes I just turn it off in traffic, feels like too much automated stuff. Having two massive fuel tanks saves a bit of headache tracking down diesel on long routes. One downfall is not every service shop has those Mercedes parts laying around, so if something does break, can take a while to fix. I do think the engine and gearbox don’t make weird noises, feels tight and ready. Convenience wise, the extra USB ports actually matter, my phone’s always charging. Haven’t had any issues with comfort, space, or heat/cold. For what you get, the price seems about in line with what you’d expect for a premium model, but not a bargain.

Been driving the Actros for a while and gotta say, the BigSpace cab is something I appreciate. I do a lot of overnight trips and having that much room to move around makes things way less cramped than some other rigs. The storage is decent, I’ve got enough lockers for all my junk, plus having all the digital stuff like two screens on the dash is kinda cool. Sometimes the menus can be a bit fiddly when you’re trying to change something quick, but once you get used to it, it’s all good. Honestly can’t complain about the seats - heating and cooling for all seasons? Wish every truck had that. Only bit that’s annoyed me is, compared to some other trucks, the Actros isn’t cheap, especially if you want the snazzy features. But it’s solid for long hauls. Not a single breakdown yet after a year on the road.

Been on an Actros 1845 (the newer ones) a bit and yeah, the cab is the big selling point for me. It’s wide, you don’t feel boxed in, and the storage is actually useful: shelves up top, drawers, both side lockers, plus the little table. The fridge is there too, which sounds small, but on long runs it matters.

Sleeper is properly wide with a decent mattress, not that thin junk. I’m 185cm and I’m fine moving around. Controls are mostly where your hand expects them, multi-wheel does the job, and the adaptive cruise + lane assist takes some load off on highways (still gotta stay awake, obviously).

Only thing, it’s still a Mercedes price, and where I’m at parts can turn into a waiting game depending on what broke. So I wouldn’t call it stress-free ownership. But day to day comfort and driving, it’s solid.

Sharing my experience of Mercedes-Benz Actros, specifically the narrow cab variant I’ve driven for a few years. Its fuel efficiency stood out during prolonged operations, and the internal layout supports a comfortable work environment for drivers. However, I did encounter operational hiccups on occasion, mainly related to auxiliary systems. Maintenance-wise, the truck requires regular attention to details such as suspension functionality and cosmetic upkeep, especially the paint. Overall, a good choice for medium-haul logistics if some minor concerns can be managed effectively.

Using the Actros in my logistics company, I observed its commendable fuel efficiency. The aerodynamic design coupled with OM471 engines contributes significantly to reduced operating costs. Maintenance intervals are well-scheduled, although specific spare parts took longer than I anticipated to source from dealerships. Still a reliable choice for long-haul routes.

In my opinion, the Mercedes-Benz Actros 4141 is simply designed for comfortable work. We leased the dump truck a year ago. We paid attention to this model because it has a load capacity of 30 tonnes. Several times during operation, we loaded the dump truck with 40 tonnes. But even with the overload, the machine demonstrated impeccable stability. Once, we worked on the dump truck at a temperature of -22 degrees. There were minor issues with the crane (it worked a bit slower). I would like to separately praise the driver's seat: comfortable chair, steering wheel adjustment, powerful air conditioner.

Been driving trucks for years, just finished a run with the Actros 2545LS and figured I’d share before I forget. What stands out? All the safety stuff is everywhere - lane keeping, traffic sign assist, brake assist that sees people wandering out. Makes you feel a bit more secure, especially with all the chaos on UK roads. Does make you double-check the settings just to be sure nothing suddenly takes over when you don’t want it. The cruise control is clever, adjusts for roundabouts and bends, but don’t let it do the thinking for you - it missed a few things in traffic and had no clue what to do at busy junctions. You really need to stay sharp. Driving position’s good, plenty of space for my junk, phone charges easy, cab’s actually pretty quiet which is great for those long night runs. Wouldn’t mind better fuel numbers but, to be fair, the weather and traffic were awful during my week. A couple of small gripes with plastics in the cab, and the wireless charging pad is more slippery than you’d think! Still, it’s a solid truck, feels reliable, just not perfect.

Been behind the wheel of plenty of trucks, but this Actros is a weird one for me. On one hand, classic Merc stuff is still there, like the metal sound when you shut the door and a general sense that they built it with some care. But these new models ask for so much maintenance, it can get a bit much. You skip on upkeep and yeah, things start falling apart, trust me. I get why some folks stick with Volvo or Scania for longer runs, they're just less fussy overall, but Actros gives a good ride. Wish I didn't have to baby it though - feels like you spend as much time in the shop as on the highway if you're not careful. Not saying it's a lemon, just expect some give and take.

Short notes from the road. Actros is straightforward. I like the practical bits: Webasto timer, two big fuel tanks, decent storage under the bunk, fridge that slides out. Cabin is lower than standard so ingress is a bit different, mirrors sit on long stalks so you see well. Lights are simple halogens, fogs and DRL present. Radio is basic and only powers with engine on, no fancy infotainment in this trim. You get lane-keep warning (sound only) and an emergency-brake radar, that's it for driver aids. Controls for raising/lowering axles and suspension are easy and useful when loading. Wear shows after years: bent aluminium trim, dented licence plate beam, some rust, torn seat cover and worn foam. The truck ran 437k km on mine - so it lasts if you keep up maintenance. Repairs happened (tank swap, tyres, some bodywork) but parts are approachable. Mixed feelings: comfy enough for overnight stops, not luxurious, but sensible for long hauls if you accept simple tech and a bit of upkeep.

I recently had the opportunity to drive the Actros, and it's a striking vehicle. The cab design is undeniably advanced, with commendable soundproofing that diminishes external noise. The automatic gearbox functions smoothly, making driving less taxing.
